It was announced Thursday by Miss Elna Birath, president of the Woman's Council, t h a t due to a reconsideration of the case of Petunia Miller versus the Constitution of the Woman's Council, the position of Miss Maryellen Snyder as Queen of the May has bccome royally invalid, and a re-election, with Petunia Miller listed on the ballot has become a moral necessity. However, Miss Sarah Lane, Dean of Women, refused to consider reelection, s t a t i n# tha t the election of Miller was cer ta in , and the f u r t h e r humiliation of the feminine candidates unnecessary, unwise and unavoidable. "Traditional Dignity," Says Lane "The tradit ional digni ty has been s t r ipped f rom the Ins t i tu te and sold all over the country a t f ive cents a sheet ," she s ta ted , "and we will g r a n t Pe tunia any th ing to prevent a ropitition of this disgrace." When asked fo r a s ta tement , Petunia chewed his veil, ad jus ted his bodice, and stilted t h a t i t was t h a t he had expected f r o m the beginning. Almost s imul taneously with this announcement came the word t h a t Ar thu r "Goose Grease" Goforth, Petunia 's chosen king, had been accepted by the council.
